Wat niemand zag vertelt het meeslepende levensverhaal van Naghmeh Abedini Panahi. Naghmeh kreeg een islamitische opvoeding, maar kwam onverwacht tot geloof en trouwde met Saeed Abedini, predikant van een Iraanse ondergrondse kerk. Nadat Saeed in de gevangenis belandde, zette Naghmeh alles op alles om haar man vrij te krijgen. Maar nadat ze besloot de vreselijke waarheid over haar man te delen, werd ze door voormalige aanhangers in de steek gelaten. Nu zet Naghmeh zich in voor vrouwen die te maken hebben met misbruik.
